Our Bathroom Cleaning Essentials
Trusted tools & products we use every week in homes across the Lehigh Valley.
These are the bathroom essentials we reach for week after week in homes across the Lehigh Valley—simple tools and trusted products that make it easier to keep your bathroom clean and fresh.
A friendly note before you start shopping
To make things simple, I’ve broken everything down into two categories: Quick Refresh Essentials and Deep Clean Essentials. Every home is different, so you definitely don’t need to grab everything on this page. I’m just sharing the products I use most often in clients’ bathrooms — and your space might only need a couple of them.
Some items overlap a bit, and others are meant for different levels of cleaning, which is why the two categories help:
-
Quick Refresh Essentials are great for weekly cleanings and keeping things fresh between deeper cleans.
-
Deep Clean Essentials are for stains, hard-water buildup, tougher jobs, or when your bathroom needs a little extra love.
My goal isn’t to overwhelm you with products — it’s simply to help you choose what fits your home and the way you like to clean.
Quick Refresh Essentials
(These are the easy, no-overwhelm basics)
#1 All-Purpose Bathroom Cleaner (Tub, Tile & Sink)
Cuts through soap scum and everyday buildup.
Our go-to spray for tubs, shower walls, and sinks. It removes grime, freshens surfaces, and helps brighten the whole bathroom with minimal scrubbing.
A powerful degreaser that cuts through grime with minimal effort.
#2 Disinfecting Bathroom Spray
Keeps high-touch areas truly sanitized.
Perfect for faucets, toilet handles, light switches, and door knobs. We use this after cleaning to ensure the bathroom is clean and disinfected.
Our go-to spray for tubs, tiles, and sinks when soap scum tries to move in.
#3 Clorox Toilet Wand System
Quick, hygienic, and mess-free toilet cleaning.
The disposable scrub pads have a built-in cleaner — just snap on, scrub, and toss. No storing a dirty brush.
Our favorite quick-clean tool for refreshing toilet bowls without the mess.
#4 Toilet Wand Refills
These refills are designed for the Clorox Toilet Wand System.
Incase, the ones that came with the system run out.
#5 Microfiber Cloths
Streak-free shine, every time.
Ideal for mirrors, chrome fixtures, shelving, and counters. Saves you from using too many paper towels.
#6 Soft Bristle Brush
Gentle on surfaces, strong on grime.
A soft-bristle brush gives you enough scrub power for tubs, tiles, and grout without scratching or damaging surfaces. It’s one of my favorite all-around tools to keep in the bathroom.
A gentle brush that’s perfect for scrubbing surfaces without scratching.
#7 Glass Cleaner
Clear, streak-free finish in seconds.
Perfect for polishing mirrors and restoring clarity to glass shower doors.
The glass cleaner we rely on for crystal-clear, streak-free results every time.
#8 Shower Squeegee
Helps prevent water spots and soap scum buildup.
A quick daily swipe keeps shower walls cleaner and reduces the need for heavy scrubbing.
This tool is great to use between scheduled cleaning to prevent hard water buildup on glass and shower walls.
Deep Clean Essentials
(For homes with buildup, stains, hard water, mold, etc.)
#1 Toilet Bowl Cleaner (Gel or Liquid)
Clings to stains for a deeper clean.
Ideal for removing rings, discoloration, and hard-water buildup. Works best when left to sit for a while before brushing.
The product we trust when a toilet bowl needs a thorough refresh.
#2 Toilet Brush, Plunger and Holder
Required in every bathroom we service.
A toilet brush, matching holder, and plunger set keeps all your essentials together neatly. The brush is important for a proper weekly clean, the plunger is helpful for emergencies, and the enclosed holder stores everything discreetly without cluttering the bathroom floor. It’s a simple, organized solution for keeping your bathroom ready for anything.
Note: We recommend standard bristle brushes, not silicone brushes. Silicone bristles look modern, but they do not scrub effectively and make proper cleaning very difficult.
#3 Clorox Bleach
Targets mold, mildew, and stubborn discoloration.
Bleach is something I only reach for when it’s truly needed — things like moldy corners, bacteria-prone areas, stained tubs, or heavy buildup. It’s not an everyday cleaner, but it’s incredibly helpful for those deeper jobs where regular sprays aren’t strong enough.
Bleach will always be a well-loved product that is undeniably good at removing mold and mildew. When its use is requested by clients, this is our go-to.
#4 Scrubbing Bubbles Limescale Cleaner
Targets tough, hard-water, and limescale buildup.
Great for homes with mineral-heavy water or shower areas that collect stubborn deposits.
Our go-to spray for tackling limescale, soap scum, and hard-water buildup.
#5 Non-Scratch Scrub Sponges
Tough on grime, gentle on surfaces.
Brillo’s non-scratch pads are effective on bathroom surfaces that need extra scrub power but can’t handle anything abrasive. They work well on tubs, shower walls, tile, and sinks, making them a reliable option for regular maintenance cleaning.
These Non-Scratch pads give you gentle scrubbing power without damaging tubs, tiles, or sinks. Great for everyday bathroom cleaning.
